There are few writers that will ever accomplish what Terry Pratchett has. His Discworld series is full of wit, laughter and jabs at traditional fantasy tropes. He's one of the few writers who has written several books that had me laughing out loud.
In 1996 they released the Discworld adventure game(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discworl…). It was my first glimpse at the world and I fell in love instantly. Since then I have been reading his books as they came out and catching up with the already released ones. I've read many of them several times and they always had me smiling.
Rest in peace Sir Terry. You will be missed, but never forgotten, and your works will continue to bring smiles on readers faces for decades more.

Looking For a Reader
As I mentioned in my previous journal, there's a novel I've been working on that's unrelated to the fantasy world of Balaria. I'd also like to try and do things a bit differently with it from my usual way. So far everything I've posted on this website, every story, has been read only by me before being up here. This time, I'd like someone to read the work before I make it public. I'd like to get some feedback to make it the best it can be.
But you'll probably want to hear a bit about what you'd be getting into. What's the story about? Well, genre wise it's a mix of fantasy and Sci-Fi. There's action, there's violence, monsters and..well, if
What's Up?
So it has been a long time since I posted anything new. In the case of The Pale Rose it has been about three months, which is a fair bit of time. I'd like to say I decided to keep a summer vacation from posting, but that's not really what happened. I simply got distracted.
I got an idea for a novel that I just couldn't leave alone. I had to write it. So that's what I did. Initially I wrote it at the same time as I continued on The Pale Rose, but towards the end I worked solely on that piece. I even started writing it with the thought I might try and get it published, but that's an idea I've since given up on. Getting published just seems to
R.I.P. James Herbert
Sadly, another author that kept me reading as a youngster has died. At the age of 69, James Herbert has died. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21870413
The Rats and The Fog are two books I will always remember and think of fondly. I've read both many times and they're as enjoyable as ever. For me they're some of the top classics. They got me into a horror book phase that I'll always be grateful for as it pushed me to authors like Dean R. Koontz and Stephen King and other greats. I spent entire summer nights reading his works, going to sleep as the sun rose because the books just could not be closed.
Thanks for the memories James
Life vol. 01
So there's some good news and then there's some bad news.
Good news is I'm starting at a new job on Monday.
Bad news is I'm starting at a new job on Monday.
I don't think I need to explain the good side of it, but the bad side is that I'll probably have much less time to put into writing. What it will likely translate into is more time between new chapters of side projects like He Who Seeks, though thankfully it's starting to be on the home stretch. I think there's three or four chapters left, maybe. It might mean putting some of the other things I'm working on on the back burner.
Anyway, just a heads up that I might be less consistent in

Late comment. Just wanted to not let the water come to rest. Keep those ripples going. Best regards to you Balaria.
